All interns will be hired for the 2015/2016 school year and will be paid a stipend. Please read over the descriptions/expectations of each internship and select the one that you feel would be the best fit for you! The application is below. Engagement Interns (4)
You MUST be able to attend Hillel Engagement Institute, August 5-8th in St. Louis!!!
Do you love to play Jewish geography and get to know new people and find out what makes them tick? Join our engagement team and use your awesome social skill to build up new and existing networks of Jews on campus. You will get to work at Hillel and on campus, attend various Hillel programming, go on coffee dates or meet ups with students, attend weekly cohort meetings, as well as plan your own intern program during the year.
Programming Interns (2)
Do you have a vision for vibrant and diverse Jewish programming on campus? Join our programming team to help build new and existing Hillel programs, including Shabbat services & dinners, holiday programs, Jewish Cooking Club, challah baking, Alternative Spring Break, Jewish learning, Social Justice discussions, etc. You will also provide programming support and resources to the JSO board, and other student organizations partnering with Hillel to create new Jewish programs on campus.
Marketing Intern (1)
Are you a writing, promoting, or social media wizard and want to develop your marketing skills? Join our marketing team and help promote all of the great things we do at Hillel to our community of students and supporters. You will be develop our social media strategy, regularly post on our Facebook page, create and send out our weekly e-mail on Mondays, and develop a monthly newsletter to send to parents and funders.
Development Intern (1)
Are you a business major, interested in non-profits, or want to help Hillel grow for the future? Join our development team to help with fundraising and organizing information from our supporters. You will organize a Hillel fundraiser, help maintain our funder database, write thank you notes, and help develop a plan for alumni engagement.
In addition, ALL Interns will be expected to:
• Attend Shabbat programming a minimum of 6 times during the semester (and hopefully bring a friend!)
• Attend a minimum of 3 other Hillel/JSO programs during the semester.
• Attend a mandatory training meeting, time TBD
