Challah Baking- Thursday August 16th, time TBD at Mizzou Hillel
Come on down to Hillel to make your very own roll of Challah for your first Shabbat at Mizzou! We’ll be sure to have plenty of ingredients to help you make whatever sort of Challah best expresses you!
**Gluten free dough can be made upon request. Please email Joel so we’ll have enough gluten free dough for you!
First Shabbat at Mizzou – Friday August 17th, 6:30pm at Mizzou Hillel
Join Mizzou Hillel for our first Shabbat of the new school year! Meet up with friends for our pluralistic egalitarian service which begins at 6:30pm with dinner immediately after. Is your family also in town? Bring them with you!
First Year Students of Hillel (FYSH) Orientation – Saturday August 18th, time TBD at Mizzou Hillel
Are you an incoming freshman/transfer student or an incoming Hillel parent? Stop by Hillel before the semesters starts to meet other Jews and learn about the campus Jewish community. Food and swag will be served.
First Bagel Tuesday – Tuesday August 21st, 9:00am-12:00pm at Mizzou Hillel
Whether it’s to start off your day or to cool off between classes, swing by Hillel for a free bagel! Every Tuesday anywhere from 20 to 40 students come for a bagel and chill for a little bit between classes. There will plenty of Jews to schmooze and schmear with!
Jews at Mizzou BBQ – Monday September 3rd at location TBD
In partnership with other Jewish organizations on campus, we have an annual barbecue on campus with free kosher meat, games, and opportunities to connect with other Jews on campus. All attendees will receive a free Mizzou Hillel 2018-19 shirt, as well as other free swag!
