Jews of Columbia Remember Pittsburgh Synagogue’s Victims

On Sunday October 28th, the Columbia Jewish community came together to mourn the loss of 11 victims who were murdered in the terrorist attack at the Eitz Chaim Synagogue in Pittsburgh. Mizzou Hillel, Chabad, Congregation Beth Shalom, Zeta Beta Tau, and Alpha Epsilon Pi came together with the support of allies in the community to process the tragedy and commemorate the victims with prayer and song.

We will be open all week to give students the space to process everything, and we will be having various events this week.

On Wednesday at 6:30pm, we will be opening up our Jewish Learning Fellowship class to all students who would like to learn Torah in honor of those who perished in Pittsburgh.

For Shabbat, we will be joining the AJC’s #ShowUpForShabbat initiative with a Shabbat at Hillel this week at 6:30pm focused on being togetherĀ led by AEPi. More details about #ShowUpForShabbat here.
